Marine / Largest cruise ship of the year arrives in town

THE LARGEST cruise ship of the year has arrived in Lerwick.

MSC Preziosa arrived into the harbour out of the fog on Thursday morning.

She has over 4,000 people on board and weighs in at 139,072 gross tonnes. The ship is 333 metres in length.

MSC Preziosa is due to leave Lerwick Harbour at 7pm.

On Friday two cruise liners are due into Lerwick – the 293m Costa Mediterranea and the Seabourn Quest (199m).
