Letters / Ironic

I find Shetland Amenity Trust’s announcement to employ a graduate tourism development coordinator a bit ironic in view of their decision to close the Croft House Museum on Mondays throughout the tourist season (Amenity Trust graduate to explore cruise ship market and World Heritage site application; SN, 27/07/2018).

By doing this they lose hundreds of pounds each Monday from the cruise ship passengers and from other tourists who are disappointed to find it closed.
