News / Pictured: crime drama filming gets underway
FILMING for the fifth series of popular BBC crime drama Shetland has started to take place in the isles.
Cast and crew shot scenes in the Ronas Voe area on Monday before they spent a full day in Lerwick on Tuesday.
Among the locations in the town was Twageos Road and outside Lerwick Sheriff Court, which acts as the exterior of the police station in the programme.
The crew is also due to film in Scalloway, among other places, this week.
They had already done work in Glasgow prior to heading north.
