A CREWMAN from the Norwegian registered pipe-laying vessel Normand Clipper was airlifted to the Clickimin emergency landing site on Tuesday morning.

 Shetland Coastguard said the search and rescue helicopter 900 was tasked to go to the vessel 80 nautical miles northeast of Lerwick at 6.15am.

The man, who was suffering from a medical condition, has been transferred to the Gilbert Bain Hospital for treatment.
