News / Flagstone repairs
SHETLAND Islands Council is warning drivers of essential work due to be carried out in Lerwick to repair flagstones.
The work near to the junction with Stout’s Court at South Commercial Street will start on Monday (14 May) and it is expected to take six weeks, with a further three weeks set aside to allow the bedding to cure.
The usual one-way traffic order will be suspended to allow two-way access from Church Road to properties west of the works, while access to properties east of it will be from Twageos Road.
Pedestrians will continue to have access along South Commercial Street.
Shetland Islands Council apologises for any inconvenience caused.
