News / ‘Supply is supply’, man told
A MAN who was found guilty of being concerned in the supply of a small amount of ecstasy tablets in a Lerwick bar and club has been placed under supervision for 12 months and given 180 hours of unpaid work to complete.
Sheriff Ian Cruickshank warned Jordan Palmer, of Sandveien, that “supply is supply” – regardless of the amount of drugs involved.
The 23 year old was found guilty of being concerned in the supply of ecstasy at Da Wheel on 16 July following a trial at Lerwick Sheriff Court in February.
Sheriff Cruickshank told the court on Wednesday that there were potentially two tablets involved in the supply. But he said “it matters not if you supply 1,000 tablets or one tablet”, or whether they were sold to friends or not.
The sheriff placed Palmer on the community payback order as a direct alternative to custody.
