News / Car destroyed by fire

A CAR was destroyed by fire near the South Road roundabout during Lerwick’s short rush hour on Wednesday morning.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Services sent one appliance from the nearby fire station to extinguish the fire. No one was injured.

Fire Control said the call came in at 8.42am. The fire was reported be out by 9.02am.
