NEARLY 100 people were involved in a large scale training exercise at Sumburgh Airport on Monday evening.

Staff from the fire service, the police, the coastguard, the NHS, Red Cross and Ness Engineering all attended the annual exercise.

This year’s focus was casualty processing and their transportation to Lerwick.

Casualty volunteers were provided by Police Scotland youth volunteers and members of the public.
