Parish Cup glory for Cunningsburgh footballers
CUNNINGSBURGH’S footballers claimed the Parish Cup for the first time in more than 40 years with a 4-2 victory over Whalsay on Saturday afternoon.
The men in green prevailed thanks to a hat-trick from Declan Adamson and a goal from James Farmer at Gilbertson Park.
It meant they lifted the Parish Cup, a competition in its 65th year, for the third time having not contested a final since way back in 1980. Their last triumph came in 1976.
