News / Road accident south of Voe

THE ROAD south of Voe was briefly closed on Wednesday afternoon following an accident which left a vehicle on its roof.

One fire appliance from Brae, the police and the ambulance service attended attended the scene on the A970 just before 5pm.

A spokesperson for the fire service said the occupants involved managed to leave their vehicle before the appliance arrived.

The fire crew made the scene safe before leaving around half an hour later as the road re-opened.
