News / Stolen tablets warning

Police in Shetland are advising the public to be aware of a quantity of Dihydrocodeine tablets that were reported stolen from a car at Veester Hill, in Sandwick, sometime between Thursday evening and Saturday morning.

The tablets, usually prescribed as a painkiller, could pose a risk to health if taken.

A police spokesman said: “Police would ask that if anyone finds this medication that they hand it in to the nearest pharmacy or police station.”

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of the medication is requested to contact police on telephone 101.
