Police recover cannabis
A fifty four year old man has been reported to the procurator fiscal in Lerwick after police officers seized cannabis with a potential street value of £6,000 from a house in Virkie.
Police said officers had executed a search warrant at the property in the south mainland of Shetland on Monday afternoon. They were supported by volunteers from the Dogs Against Drugs charity.
A police spokesperson appealed to anyone with concerns relating to drug activity in their local community to make contact via telephone 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
