A FULL emergency was declared at Sumburgh Airport on Friday evening after a helicopter with 16 people on board lost the power of one of its engines while on transit from the Magnus field, northeast of Shetland.

 Lerwick lifeboat, fire appliances from Lerwick and the Sumburgh coastguard team were all at the scene when the Bond Air operated Sikorsky S-92A landed safely at 9.20pm.
