News / Hjaltland to set sail early
PASSENGER ferry the Hjaltland is set to leave Lerwick early at 3.30pm on Wednesday due to the forecast of westerly gales and high seas forecast for later that night.
Serco NorthLink has issued an advance warning advising that the arrival of the southbound sailing, which usually departs at 5.30pm on Wednesdays, in Kirkwall and Aberdeen “may well” be delayed by up to an hour.
Meanwhile the freight vessel Heliar’s scheduled sailing from Aberdeen to Lerwick overnight from Tuesday into Wednesday has been cancelled, with the vessel now only sailing as far as Kirkwall.
