A TWENTY three year old man has appeared in court charged with injuring another man by punching him in the face in Lerwick town centre at the weekend.
Alistair Birse, of Hillhead, Lerwick, had his case continued without plea when he appeared from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Monday afternoon.
He is accused of assaulting the man at Commercial Road on Saturday.
Birse was granted bail with the special condition that he must not approach the complainer.
A curfew was also imposed, meaning Birse must stay within his bail address between 7pm and 7am seven days a week until he appears in court again on 9 November.
