Over 500 properties lost power in Unst in the early hours of Friday morning after an electricity pole caught fire.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks confirmed that 541 properties were affected at around 2.30am as a result of a burnt pole in Gerrigarth.
Power was restored to over half of the customers within the hour.
Engineers travelled on the 7.45am ferry to Unst to repair the pole, with 27 properties still without power at 10.25am. All properties are expected to be reconnected by midday.
