News / Burra Soccer School success
THIS YEAR’s Burra Soccer School took place last weekend thanks to a sizeable donation from Scottish Sea Farms.
The company gifted £3,500 to pay for equipment and to cover the travel and accommodation costs of the voluntary football coaches.
The weekend saw nearly 100 kids flock to Burra to learn new skills and take part in five-a-side matches.
Scottish Sea Farms’ Shetland regional manager Graham Smith said it was pleasing to see sporting events like the soccer school, now in its seventh year, take place in the isles.
“The kids had a great time learning football skills and it was gratifying that Scottish Sea Farms has been able to once again support the Burra Soccer School,” he said.
