A MAN has been released on bail after making a second appearance from custody in private at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Friday charged with assault to severe injury.
Twenty eight year old Ross Sutherland, from Lerwick, made no plea or declaration and was fully committed for trial.
A forty six year old man from Cunningsburgh was also released on bail after appearing from custody in Lerwick on Friday.
Alan Pottinger, of Samfrae, Greenmow, was accused of failing to provide two specimens of breath at Lerwick Police Station on Thursday (7 July).
The specimens were required to ascertain his ability to drive or the proportion of alcohol in his breath when he was driving between Main Street in Scalloway and his home on the same day.
The case was continued without plea until 20 July.
