News / Knife case continued

A FORTY six year old man has appeared at Lerwick Sheriff Court charged with possessing and brandishing a knife in Levenwick on Saturday.

Gordon McBurnie, of Nikkavord Lea, Baltasound, had his case continued without plea on Monday.

He is accused of possessing a bread knife without reasonable excuse at Staneybrake, Levenwick, and with behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing and brandishing the knife at the same location.

McBurnie was granted bail and his case was continued until 6 July.
