TONIGHT’S sailing of Serco NorthLink passenger ferry MV Hjaltland will depart Lerwick three hours early due to a forecast of bad weather.
The ship will depart at 4pm rather than 7pm – with winds of up to 50mph forecast in Lerwick on Monday evening, and similar speeds in Aberdeen early on Tuesday morning.
Meanwhile Tuesday’s sailing of MV Hrossey from Lerwick to Aberdeen is under review, with an update to be issued at 10am tomorrow.
The Hrossey’s northbound sailing from Aberdeen to Lerwick on Monday night is due to leave on schedule.
