AROUND 1,000 households in central Shetland are without power after lightning strikes during the early hours of Friday morning. Areas affected include Quarff, Brindister, the Gremista part of Lerwick, Gulberwick, Gott, Tingwall and Weisdale. Engineers hope to restore power sometime during the day.
