News / Early sailing
SUNDAY night’s Aberdeen bound NorthLink ferry is already on her way in an attempt to dodge gale force nine south-westerly winds forecast for tonight.
The Hrossey sailed from Lerwick at 10.20am, almost nine hours ahead of schedule.
NorthLink said its passenger ferry is expected to arrive in the Granite City in the early hours of Monday morning.
Her sister vessel Hjaltland, sailing to Orkney and Shetland, will depart Aberdeen at 5pm (as timetabled) but is expected reach Lerwick at around 9.30am on Monday, two hours behind schedule.
