News / Jenny’s joy at Mumpreneur Awards progress
SHETLAND businesswoman Jenny Teale has reached the finals of this year’s Mumpreneur Awards.
The mother of three from Gulberwick runs Bambino & Beyond, which delivers sensory development classes to young children.
She began the company in 2012 alongside business parter Jan Mackie and it now has bases in Orkney and Aberdeenshire, as well as Shetland.
Teale also looks after the Inferno dance group, which has amassed around 120 people onto its books since it started in 2010.
She is nominated for the Courage prize and the Inspirational Business Mum 2015 honour at this year’s Mumpreneur Awards, which are held annually to recognise mothers across the UK who juggle a busy home life with running a business.
Teale commented: “I am delighted to have reached the final, I don’t really feel like I’ve done anything courageous or inspirational.
“I just love what I do. It would obviously be great to win.”
The winners will be announced at the ceremony at the Heart of England Center in Warwickshire on 14 November.
