A HAIRDRESSER from Shetland is in the running for Scottish colour technician of the year for his work at an Edinburgh salon.
Robbie Bruce, originally from Burra, used to work at the Shearing Shed for his mother, Sandra Bruce, before moving to the Scottish capital to further his career.
“I’m trying to get Shetland behind me as I’m proud to be from there and want people to know that anything is possible – even if you’re from a small place,” he said.
