Letters / The inch we live
The election campaign began with a hysterical letter by Graham Johnston (Don’t vote SNP; SN, 05/04/15), and ends with a hysterical one by Geordie Jacobson (Reject nationalism; SN, 05/05/15).
Both are Labour Party members, but they can’t bring themselves to recommend a Labour vote.
Despite their timidity – presumably they think that Labour is far too strong meat for Shetland – somebody needs to point out that a vote not only for the SNP but also for the LibDems is a good way to let the Tories back in.
As somebody once said, there may only be an inch between Labour and the Tories, but it is in that inch we live.
