SHETLAND Arts is inviting anybody with an interest in the local theatre scene to a public meeting next week.

The arts development agency is keen for as many people as possible to have their say on the future of theatre in Shetland.

Newly appointed general manager Graeme Howell said: “We are looking to enter into a discussion with interested parties about how best to encourage and support the development of theatre in Shetland.

“In particular, we want to discuss how the Garrison Theatre can be best used as a centre and springboard for that development.”

He added: “We’re keen to hear thoughts and suggestions from all corners and would encourage anyone interested in the topic to come along and let their voice be heard.”

The meeting will be held next Thursday (15 January) between 6 and 7pm at The Garrison.
