News / Shetland Classic Motor Show on film
THE organisers of Shetland’s hugely popular classic motor show are launching a DVD of this year’s event, just in time for Christmas.
Presented by Marjolein Robertson, the 35-minute film captures all aspects of the show including organised tours around the islands, the visit of the Bristol car club and the music provided throughout the event by young local band Mirka.
Extensive additional material covers the opening ceremony, longer sequences of the many different sections of the show, as well as a stills gallery.
The 16th Shetland Classic Motor Show took place at the Clickimin Leisure Centre, in Lerwick, on the weekend of 7 and 8 June.
Spokesman for the organising committee, Maurice Mullay said: “This high quality DVD has just been launched and makes an ideal Christmas gift for everyone who attended the show, or anyone else interested in the classic cars, motorcycles, trucks, buses, engines, bicycles, models that were on display.”
Filmed and directed by Vidlin based film production company Ronas Media, the DVD will be in the shops as of Tuesday (25 November), retailing at £20, or £22.99 including postage.
Copies can also be ordered from Brian Gifford’s machinery centre at Gremista Industrial Estate, JB’s Autostore at Holmsgarth Road, or by
contacting Graham Johnston on 07876 164777.
