News / Three injured in four vehicle crash

THREE people had to be taken to the Gilbert Bain Hospital, in Lerwick, following a four vehicle crash at the north end of the Kames on Tuesday morning.

Police said that none of the injuries was thought to be life threatening.

The A970 was closed for a time two miles south of the Vidlin junction following the crash at about 8.30am.

Three cars and a van were badly damaged in the crash.

The road was closed for a second time at a round 10am to allow for the vehicles to be recovered.
