News / Good turnout for ‘Let’s Make Change’ meeting
MORE THAN 50 people attended a meeting called ‘Let’s Make Change – Let’s Start Locally’ at the Clickimin Centre in Lerwick on Tuesday night with the aim of starting a group to instigate positive and progressive change in Shetland.
Topics such as the environment, social justice and nuclear disarmament were discussed and over 15 bags of food and toiletries were donated by the meeting’s attendees to give to the Salvation Army’s local food bank service.
The next meeting to discuss how to take the group forward will be held in the Bowlers Bar in the Clickimin on Tuesday 14 October at 7pm, with anyone welcome to attend.
