GLASGOW-based Shetland solicitor Brian Inkster has been named ‘managing partner of the year’ at the 2014 Law Awards of Scotland.
Football journalist Tam Cowan, compering the event at Glasgow’s Radission Hotel, said Inkster had built his practice through a strategy involving new technology and “taking the law to rural parts of Scotland”.
As well as offices in Glasgow, Inverness, Wick and Portree, Inksters has a base for visiting solicitors in Lerwick.here are plans to further expand the business over the next few months.
Inkster said: “I am delighted to have been recognised in this way for building Inksters from a firm that was established primarily to serve the legal needs of my Shetland clients to one that now provides legal services throughout the length and breadth of Scotland.”
