News / Off duty rescue
LERWICK lifeboat’s second coxswain came to the rescue of a pleasure craft off the isle of Noss on Monday night while he was out fishing in his own boat.
Shetland coastguard received a call from the small boat Kismet just after 8pm saying it had broken down north east of the famous bird island.
Meanwhile Gary Bremner was nearby in his creel boat Hopeful and able to use his experience to take Kismet under tow and bring her safely into Lerwick harbour by 10pm.
