News / Pair appear in private on assault charges

A TWENTY three year old man from Lerwick has been remanded in custody after being charged with assault to injury and possession of a knife.

John Edward Hutcheson appeared in private from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Monday afternoon. He made no plea or declaration and was fully committed for trial.

Meanwhile Graham Maconnachie, 42, from Glasgow, also appeared in private on an assault charge. He made no plea or declaration, was committed for further examination and released on bail.
