News / Yacht grounded
AITH lifeboat was called out on Tuesday afternoon to tow a 10-meter yacht off a sandbank on the east side of Papa Little.
The call came just after the lifeboat crew had delivered the Commonwealth Games baton to Brae.
The lifeboat took only a few minutes to arrive on scene where the Charlotte with at least three people on board had grounded and was listing in calm waters.
The lifeboat crew was able to attach a rope to the yacht and gently pulled her off the sandbank.
