News / Injury speeds up ferry
A MAN who injured his hand on board the ferry Hjaltland while on passage between Aberdeen and Lerwick was taken to Gilbert Bain Hospital on Friday morning.
Following the accident the ferry speeded up and arrived at Lerwick just before 6am, almost two hours ahead of schedule.
A spokeswoman said the man had gone to the outside smoking area on board the ferry and caught his hand in the door when heading back inside.
