News / Ferry leaves early
WITH yet more strong winds and heavy seas forecast over the next few days, ferry operators NorthLink have brought forward Friday’s southbound sailing of Hjaltland.
The ferry will now depart at noon rather than 5.30pm, arriving in Kirkwall at 7pm, where she will berth until 11.45pm so she can arrive at Aberdeen on schedule at 7am on Saturday.
The Met Office is forecasting gales up to storm force 10 from the west on Friday evening, before they veer north west remaining at gale force on Saturday.
