Two men reported for animal cruelty

POLICE in Shetland have confirmed that two men, aged 60 and 59, are to be reported to the procurator fiscal in Lerwick for animal cruelty offences.

The alleged offences came to light after officers were called to a property in Cunningsburgh, on Saturday 7 December.

They found one Shetland pony had died and a second one badly neglected.
