Twenty month ban

AN AITH man caught drink driving at the weekend has been fined £800 and banned from driving for 20 months.

John Hay, aged 22, of Wirligert, was more than three times the drink driving limit when he was stopped by police at East Voe after they became concerned about his driving.

Sheriff Philip Mann said Hay could reduce his ban to 15 months if he completed a drink drivers rehabilitation course.
