POLICE in Shetland are investigating the disappearance of surveying equipment from the Shetland Gas Plant construction site near Sullom Voe.
The equipment was allegedly stolen from the site on Wednesday afternoon.
Anyone with information regarding this should contact Lerwick police station by phoning 101.
Meanwhile, police are reminding people in Lerwick to lock their houses and cars after sneak-in thieves have stolen laptops, IPods, phones, music CDs and power tools over the last three weeks.
Detective sergeant Bryan Ronald said: “It is requested that the public take every opportunity to remove the opportunity from the thieves by securing their property, especially unattended cars.”
