News / Two charged

A MAN and a woman appeared from custody in Lerwick Sheriff Court on Monday morning after being arrested on Saturday for a range of offences.

Calum Jarmson, of Jarrahgem, Whiteness, was charged with stealing a SIM Card from a house in Dunrossness.

The 35 year old was also charged with taking a car without the owner’s consent, driving while banned, driving while almost twice the drink driving limit and without insurance on the main A970 between Dunrossness and Toab.

Eve Eunson, aged 33, of Hazelbank, Dunrossness, was charged with assaulting a man at her home.

The case was continued without plea until next week.
