Knife man remanded

A LERWICK man has been remanded in custody after appearing in private at Lerwick Sheriff Court charged with being in possession of a knife and attempting to pervert the course of justice at a house in the town.

Thirty one year old George Anthony Hogg appeared from custody on Thursday morning where he made no plea or declaration and was committed for further examination.

Hogg is expected to appear in court again next week.
