News / More wind and snow
SHETLAND is in for another period of wild weather with westerly storm force ten winds touching violent storm 11 for a time on Monday.
Ferry operator NorthLink has already cancelled its service across the Pentland Firth for Monday. Sailings of both the Hrossey and the Hjaltland are currently under review.
Following a stormy Monday the wind is forecast to turn more northerly with frequent wintry showers and gale force winds.
By Wednesday forecasters expect more prolonged showers of sleet or snow.
