News / DITT win award
LERWICK building firm DITT Construction Ltd has won a prestigious award after being recommended by a client.
Bill Peterson, of Lerwick Baptist Church, put the builders’ name forward to the Master Builder of the Year awards for the new church that was built at Quoys.
DITT have won the Scottish award for new build or refurbishment of a commercial building costing less than £5 million.
The company will now go forward to the national finals at London’s Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel in London on 20 March.
The Federation of Master Builders said the standard of entries this year was amongst the highest ever.
Its Scottish director Grahame Barne said: “What really stands out is the extent to which our regional winners were prepared to go beyond the call of duty to build a good working relationship with their clients to achieve the best possible result for them.
“DITT Construction Ltd should feel justly proud of their achievement in winning the Commercial Award, and we wish them success in the national competition.”
