Letters / What were the costs?
What a lot of garbage Peter Hamilton is saying (Housing hope, SN, 23 Dec. 12), Roy Whitehead hit it on the head (Lost the plot, SN, 21 Dec 12).`
Peter, why were they needing four councillors, two top officials of the SIC and the MP?
Do you realise the cut backs the general public has to endure? Too many to start telling you about. And these seven go knocking on the door of either No. 10, or was it No. 11 Downing Street, at what cost to the public?
I dread to think what the costs were. Peter, if you know then spurt it out, starting with flights to London, cost of transport from airport, overnight stay (or stays), meals and sundries.
Peter, dear boy, it is you who has lost it not Roy.
I challenge the four councillors and the two SIC officials who travelled to London to produce their expenses sheets to the general public.
