Letters / Councillors created the mess
Councillor Andrea Manson was in full flow on Radio Shetland on Thursday night.
“There must be layers of staff that can be removed”, she cried, “without the public missing them.”
Manson should recall that it was councillors who created the present mess, not their employees. Those staff, who are also voters, deserve consideration and respect.
Perhaps the council’s HR department could train councillors in discussing the present situation without putting their feet in it.
