New Viking job

WIND farm developers Viking Energy are advertising for a community liaison officer to liaise with crofters affected by the project that is set to straddle central Shetland.

Viking Energy chairman Bill Manson said the post holder would play an essential role as preparatory work steps up a gear in the second half of this year.

“Making sure the community is well informed is vitally important and we need to recruit now so the liaison officer is in place and the right systems are set up for when work begins on the ground,” he said.

An early emphasis will be liaison with crofters and landowners as the Scheme for Development goes before the Scottish Land Court.”
