Letters / We all like eccentrics, but…
In answer to Brian Cole of Watlington (What next?; SN 24.7.12).
I did not advocate anything chilling like concentration camp-style exile (Hill should leave Shetland; SN 24.7.12). Having been born during wartime I would gladly discuss it, but is not relevant to my letter.
Mr Hill does not wish to pay his way in Shetland like we all do (just like Watlington) and has his own exile island eccentric life called Forvik and demands no requirement to drive our roads with tax or lawful requirements.
Like me he is not a Shetlander and I think they have had enough, but possibly Mr Cole could have a whip round from his town taxpayers.
We all like eccentrics who cause no harm or cost others to themselves.
