Letters / What next?
I found Christine Donald’s letter a bit chilling (Hill should leave Shetland, SN, 24 July 2012). Does she advocate that anyone who has a different perspective to that of the majority should be exiled.
What next, concentration camps for all eccentrics?
I seem to recall a character called Churchill who in the 1930s kept on about the perceived German threat to peace, and the majority of people wanting him to shut him up and go.
Although on reflection I must admit that perhaps the majority were right in this instance, they should have asked him to leave and kept us out of another ruinous European war.
