Letters / The law won
Having been on the receiving end of Scots law and the police that enforce it, I can say that it is fair and transparent, if sometimes rather brutal.
Since I was guilty as sin, I saw no point in doing anything else but plead guilty at the first opportunity, and accept the punishment.
After reading Stuart Hill’s recent letter and taking into account his antics over the years, I wonder what planet he is on?
This always reminds me of the song sung by The Clash with the line “I fought the law and the law won”, which since Mr Hill is now in prison seems very appropriate.
He could always try wandering about Shetland wearing nothing but a rucksack.
