Letters / Lerwick shopping experience
I am sure most women would agree with Dorothy of Brae regarding shopping in local shops in Lerwick. (Couldn’t care less attitude, SN 17 June 12)
The main problem for families is the lack of boys’ clothes in youth sizes which are neither sold nor displayed, as the output is focused on nursery age girls’ and ladies’ sizes.
Shoes are ridiculously priced and suitable for city high streets. Offer to help in ordering for the customer is non-existent as Shetland owners will not order unless buying in bulk from the mainland.
The retail business is moving forward; Mackays are mainland operated and are excellent in training and service.
