Andrew didn’t understand

Andrew Halcrow has not understood my last letter. I was correcting his assertion that, and I quote him again, “Wind turbine technology is still very much in its infancy”. (Reply to Tony Erwood, SN 4 May 2012)

I made the point that the technology has been developing for the best part of a century and thus is not “… in its infancy”.

It is a technology that is already well advanced and we should not wait ten years for a dramatic development, producing a tenfold reduction is wind turbine size, because that is not going to happen.
